Date Completed: August 11, 2021
The original construction was completed in 1907 and this building was first utilized in the training of Alberta school teachers. The restoration consisted of the East and West granite stair entrances and sandstone planters. It also involved enhancing the water management on the building parapets along with selective sandstone repairs. Granite treads and landings were deconstructed and rebuilt after new membrane and insulation were installed to better manage the moisture. Sandstone planters were also deconstructed and rebuilt with restoration required to the extensive water damaged stone. This consisted of Dutchman repairs, Jahn repairs and selective stone replacements. Selective roofline architectural stone elements were also restored in-situ.
