Glennridding Stone Blend

Categories: Educational / Institutional, Artistic Use of Masonry

Address: Glenridding Ravine

Year: Edmonton

Date Completed: October 29, 2021

Aspen’s Glenridding Ravine development infrastructure project combines the warmth of Montana & BC natural stones for a one of a kind entry feature! Expansive sloping and curved entry features anchor the entry to this beautiful Edmonton community.

The architect used masonry colour blocking to create depth and contrast from the complimentary stone colours. A unique stone pattern was used on the fence posts throughout the project – blending blocks of both stone colours on a single post.

Structural masonry was used in the concrete block and base of these expansive features, then clad with natural thinstone veneer, and capped with precast and/or poured concrete caps.
