This text describes the story of a family who relocated to Alberta from another part of the world and wanted to incorporate a piece of their heritage into their new home. They chose to use Tyndall stone, a natural limestone found in Manitoba, as the showcase feature of their modern architectural design.
The design was very thoughtful in their use of Tyndall stone. They carefully selected two different sizes of stone, 190mm and 90mm saw cut, for the installation. The stone was laid out in a precise pattern, which was given out in it’s own set of install plans, giving the overall look a graceful linear appearance that is almost invisible to the naked eye.
To further enhance the durability and lifespan of the stone, a 10mm rainscreen system was installed. This system consists of an air gap between the stone and the wall, which helps to prevent the buildup of moisture and protects the stone from damage caused by freezing and thawing cycles. The installation of this system ensures that the Tyndall stone will remain beautiful and durable for many years to come.
The result of the attention to detail is a stunning modern architectural design that incorporates a piece of their heritage into their new home. The Tyndall stone is the showcase feature of the design, and the precise pattern and rainscreen system ensure that it remains beautiful and long-lasting.
