Private Residence – Lakeview, Calgary, Alberta

This home was built on an expansive lot in an inner city community in southwest Calgary. The lot size allowed for a large home boasting a wide frontage. The exterior cladding materials were tied together and anchored by the stone base. Hand carved Montana Rockworks Moose Mountain squares and recs full bed stone was used with custom cut rock face Indiana limestone sills, headers, wall caps, hearths, chimney caps and paving stones. The home opens up in the back to a screened in covered patio centered around a see-through two sided fireplace. There is an exterior kitchen space with a custom built masonry Forno oven. One of the main features of this home is a stone clad staircase off of the formal dining room which leads down to a wine tasting room and cellar. The focal point of the tasting room is a floating brick barrel arch.
