Private Residence – Posthill, Calgary, Alberta

Design on this home was based on Frank Lloyd Wrights Prairie style. Specifically the Arthur Heurtley house in Chicago’s Oak Park. The house is a complete brick wrap with a stone plinth base. The brick work is a combination of plumb and sloped walls with battered coursing . All brick walls are capped with coping stones that are coursed out with stone banding and sills. Stone was also used as the last ring of a 9 ring corbelled barrel arch. Additional stone details include banding, sills, headers, fireplace surrounds and freeze stone details.
